Language Cafe

Our organisation is currently working on European Commission's supported project - Montessori Methodology in Language Training for Adults. The project aims at implementing the Montessori teaching style into an adult environment to help them learn language more effectively.

As a part of this project, we started our own Language Cafe. The cafe is aimed at foreign language speakers from all backgrounds, who would like to improve their English.
During the meetings, we use Montessori teaching methods, meaning that the ‘classes’ are very interactive, fun and free-flowing but with a set goal to achieve each time. We use a wide variety of resources and often play many simple games to help increase your confidence and learn new vocabulary.

The cafe is a great way to learn more about the English culture and language, meet new friends and socialise. The environment is very friendly and relaxed, we welcome everyone regardless of their level of English.

So don't be shy and come along :)

From time to time, we also plan trips during the Language Cafe, weather permitting of course. Recently we decided to visit the stunning Royal William Yard. This gave us a chance to  talk about Plymouth's wonderful heritage, admire the views and get to know each other better. The trips we plan are never expensive and usually only involve some bus tickets and money for a cup of coffee or tea, however they certainly are a lot of fun!
